Project Overview
- The Dafeng District Subdistrict Waste Transfer Station in Yancheng City is a municipal sanitation support project serving the local area, employing a compression-based process with integrated deodorization and leachate treatment systems for the centralized collection, compaction, and transfer of domestic waste.
- The project is designed with a wastewater treatment capacity of 3 m³/d, and is currently in normal operation and maintenance phase.
- The wastewater stream contains high concentrations of organic matter and suspended solids, rich in proteins, fibers, and oils, with good biodegradability.
Key Technical Challenges
- Intermittent discharge patterns make operational stability susceptible to fluctuations in influent loading.
- Priority must be given to the removal of suspended solids, sediment, and floating impurities to reduce the load on subsequent treatment processes.
- Efficient degradation of organic pollutants and control of ammonia nitrogen levels are required, alongside integrated deodorization and disinfection to prevent odor dispersion and secondary contamination.
