Project Overview
- Established in March 2014 with a registered capital of RMB 100 million, the company is located in Tuqiao Industrial Park, Jiangning District, Nanjing City. The company is primarily engaged in poultry slaughtering and processing, cold chain distribution, and food technology R&D.
- The project is designed with a treatment capacity of 1,500 m³/d.
- The wastewater primarily originates from poultry slaughtering, scalding, cleaning, and workshop rinsing operations, containing substantial amounts of blood residues, oils and fats, and feather fragments.
Key Technical Challenges
- High concentrations of blood residues and oils and fats are prone to causing pipeline blockages and sludge bulking. The efficiency of pretreatment for solids removal and oil separation directly determines the stable operation of the entire system.
- Wastewater quality fluctuates significantly with slaughtering batches and production schedules. Although the wastewater exhibits good biodegradability, it is susceptible to odor generation and microbial proliferation, posing considerable shock loading to the biological treatment system.

Slaughterhouse wastewater → Grit Chamber → Mechanical Bar Screen → Primary Sedimentation Tank → Oil-Water Separator → Aerated Equalization Tank → DAF System → Anaerobic Tank → A/O Tank → Secondary Sedimentation Tank → Disinfection Tank → Compliant Discharge
