Project Overview
- Established in 2007 with a registered capital of RMB 36.8 million, the company is located in Taicang City. It is an integrated enterprise spanning agricultural planting and breeding, processing, cold-chain warehousing, food ingredient distribution, and catering management, primarily engaged in the supply of fresh ingredients—including vegetables, fruits, fresh meat, and aquatic products—as well as group catering services.
- The project is designed with a treatment capacity of 10 m³/d and has now been fully completed.
- The wastewater mainly comes from fruit and vegetable washing, meat processing, and workshop rinsing, containing organic matter, suspended solids, oils and fats, as well as minor amounts of blood residues.
Key Technical Challenges
- The high content of suspended solids and animal/vegetable oils demands rigorous pretreatment for solids removal and oil separation; otherwise, equipment clogging may occur and subsequent biological treatment performance could be compromised.
- Production activities are concentrated during specific periods, resulting in significant fluctuations in wastewater flow. Enhanced equalization and process stability control are therefore required to ensure continuous compliance of effluent COD, ammonia nitrogen, and total nitrogen levels.
