Project Overview
- The Dafeng Port Agricultural Products Processing Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Project is operated by Huanghai Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. of Dafeng District, Yancheng City. As a centralized wastewater treatment facility serving the industrial park, the project provides treatment services to enterprises in agricultural products processing, food, and feed industries. The treated effluent is required to meet the Class I A discharge standard, primarily receiving high-strength organic wastewater to safeguard the water environment and ecological security of the park.
- The Phase I project is designed with a treatment capacity of 3,600 m³/d and has been completed and is now in normal operation and maintenance.
Key Technical Challenges
- The wastewater exhibits complex composition with coexisting high organic matter and high ammonia nitrogen loads, along with significant fluctuations in both water quality and flow rate, demanding exceptionally high shock loading resistance from the treatment system.
- Agricultural products processing wastewater is prone to foaming, sludge bulking, and residual color, making advanced treatment and consistent compliance particularly challenging. Additionally, both operational costs and maintenance efficiency must be carefully balanced.
Process Flow
- High-strength wastewater: High-Strength Collection Tank → Primary Sedimentation Tank → Acidification Equalization Tank → UASB Anaerobic Reactor → Intermediate Sedimentation Tank → High/Low-Strength Wastewater Mixing Tank
- Low-strength wastewater: Low-strength wastewater → High/Low-Strength Wastewater Mixing Tank
- Combined wastewater: High/Low-Strength Wastewater Mixing Tank → A/O Biological Contact Oxidation Tank → Secondary Sedimentation Tank → Fenton Oxidation Tank → Neutralization & Degassing Tank → Final Sedimentation Tank → Sand Filtration System → Standardized Discharge Outlet → Compliant Discharge
