Yancheng District Integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital Wastewater Treatment Project

访问量:186

Project Overview

  • The Integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital in a district of Yancheng City is a public secondary Grade B integrated medical institution and a core primary healthcare facility in the region. The hospital has implemented a standardized wastewater treatment upgrade project, strictly following medical waste and medical wastewater treatment regulations to ensure compliant discharge and regional ecological safety.
  • The project is designed with a treatment capacity of 200 m³/d and has now been fully completed.
  • The medical wastewater generated by the hospital includes diagnostic and therapeutic wastewater, laboratory waste liquids, and domestic sewage, characterized by elevated concentrations of organic matter, suspended solids, and bacterial colonies, along with trace amounts of specific hazardous pollutants.

Key Technical Challenges

  • Wastewater quality and flow rate fluctuate significantly between day and night, with peak diagnostic hours potentially causing shock loading, demanding high process adaptability and fluctuation resistance.
  • Strict control of pathogenic microorganism disinfection is required to ensure stable compliance of disinfection indicators such as fecal coliforms, meeting the mandatory discharge standards for medical institutions.
  • Targeted pretreatment is required for special waste liquids from the laboratory department, effectively degrading organic matter and suspended solids to stabilize water quality and meet downstream process and pipeline connection requirements.

Process Flow
Hospital wastewater → Bar Screen Chamber → Equalization Tank → Hydrolysis Acidification Tank → Biological Contact Oxidation Tank → Secondary Sedimentation Tank → Disinfection Tank → Dechlorination Tank → Compliant Discharge
