It utilizes materials with large specific surface areas\u2014such as sand\u2014as carriers. Anaerobic microorganisms attach to the surface of the sand or other carrier media in the form of biofilms. As the carriers remain in a fluidized state within the wastewater, the microorganisms come into contact with organic pollutants, adsorbing and decomposing them to achieve effective treatment.<\/p>\r\n<p>This anaerobic reactor is among the first in both domestic and international anaerobic treatment applications to use sand as a carrier. The equipment features a dual-cylinder structure (inner and outer cylinders).
