Project Overview
- Established in 2002, the company specializes in special alloy materials such as valve steel and high-temperature alloys, integrating smelting, forging, hot rolling, and deep processing into a comprehensive production chain. With an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of special alloys, its products are widely used in the automotive, aerospace, and petrochemical industries.
- The project involves the technical upgrade of the workshop cooling recirculating water system with a designed treatment capacity of 5,000 m³/d, the closed-loop recirculating water system upgrade with a designed treatment capacity of 24,000 m³/d, and the newly added closed-loop recirculating water system with a designed treatment capacity of 72,000 m³/h.
Key Technical Challenges
- The upgrade work must be carried out without interrupting steelmaking production, requiring parallel construction involving the reuse of existing equipment, replacement of outdated units, and installation of new systems across multiple batches. This imposes extremely high demands on construction planning, schedule control, and production assurance.
- The project must simultaneously meet the water quality stabilization, corrosion and scale prevention, and operational efficiency requirements of recirculating water systems of varying scales, making process commissioning and system integration particularly challenging.
Process Flow
- 5,000 m³/d workshop cooling recirculating water: Cooling recirculating water → High-Speed Filter (replacement) → Triple Collection Tank (replacement with high-efficiency sedimentation) → Integrated Water Purifier (reused) → Recirculating Service Tank
- 24,000 m³/d closed-loop recirculating water: Closed-loop recirculating water → Mechanical Filter (replacement) → Automatic Resin Softener (replacement) → Return to Raw Water
- 72,000 m³/d closed-loop recirculating water (newly added): Closed-loop recirculating water → Mechanical Filter (newly added) → Electrochemical Water Treatment Unit (newly added) → Return to Raw Water
